Being one of the leading makers in Germany of slide bearings, we manufacture our BÖGRA high-quality slide bearings and finished components on the most modern CNC-controlled processing machines or on automatic, six- and eight-spindle machines. These are based on our own semi-finished products.
The range of slide bearings and finished components extends from mass items right to unusual, one-off items, where our production is based on an accuracy of IT 7 and surface quality of Rz 6.3 m. In addition, we are able to carry out permanent super-precision work below IT 5 and a surface accuracy below Rz 2 m.
However different and multi-layered the areas of use for BÖGRA slide bearings and finished components may be, the range of different materials we use for them is just as varied.
The most common groups of materials used by BÖGRA for the manufacture of slide bearings and finished components are set out below:
- leaded red brass
- tin bronze
- leaded and high leaded tin bronze
- special alloys on non-ferrous metal basis, also lead-free
Choice of materials depends principally on the nature and manner of later loadings to be applied. We call these the “user-orientated” properties of an alloy.
